블랙홀로 사라지고 싶다고 했던 Auggie 그 후 어떻게 되었을까요?

I nodded and mumbled “Thank you.” Mom and I hugwalked the whole way home.

I didn’t tell her anything about what had happened,

and later when she asked me if I felt well enough to go trick-or-treating after school,

I said no. This worried her, since she knew how much I usually loved trick-or-treating.

 

  나는 고개 끄덕이며 우물거렸다. “고마워요.”

  엄마와 나는 부둥켜안고 집까지 걸어왔다.
  나는 엄마에게 무슨 일이 일어났는지 아무 말도 하지 않았고,
  그녀는 방과 후 사탕을 받으러 갈 기분인지 물었다. 나는 아니라고 했다. 그녀는 걱정했다.

  평소 내가 사탕 받으러 가는걸 얼마나 좋아하는지 알기 때문이다.

   저 멀리 행성 지구는 파랗다. 내가 할 수 있는 일은 아무것도 없다.

August is the Sun. Me and Mom and Dad are planets orbiting the Sun.

The rest of our family and friends are asteroids and comets floating around the planets orbiting the Sun.

The only celestial body that doesn't orbit August the Sun is Daisy the dog,

and that's only because to her little doggy eyes, August's face doen't look very different from any other human's face.

To Daisy, all our faces look alike, as flat and pale as the moon.

 

   August는 태양이다. 나와 엄마 그리고 아빠는 태양 궤도를 선회하는 행성이다.

   나머지 가족들과 친구들은 태양 주위를 도는 주위에 떠 있는 소행성과 혜성들이다.

   August 태양 주위를 돌지 않는 유일한 천체는 강아지 데이지이다.

   그 이유는 그녀의 작은 눈으로는 August의 얼굴은 다른 사람의 얼굴과 매우 다르지 않다.

   데이지에게는 우리 모두의 얼굴이 평평하고 창백한 달 같아 보인다.

 

 

And this is the way it's always been for me, for the little universe of us.

But this year there seems to be a shift in the cosmos.

The galaxy is changing. Planets are falling out of alignment.

 

   그리고 이것이 우리 작은 우주에서 날 위한 방식이다. 그러나 올해는 우주에 변화가 있는 것 같다.

   은하계가 변하고 있다. 행성들의 정렬에 균열이 생기고 있다.
