he was still determined not to go back to school.

 

   그는 여전히 학교로 돌아가지 않겠다고 결심했다.

 

"But you've never been the kind of kid who quits things, " I said truthfully. "That's not like you." "I'm quitting."

 

   "하지만 넌 그런 일로 그만두는 애가 아니었어" 나는 솔직하게 말했다.

   "이건 너 답지 않아"

   "그만둘 거야"

 

"Auggie, " I said.
"Are you really going to let a couple of stupid kids keep you from going back to school?

I know you've been enjoying it. Don't give them that power over you. Don't give them the satisfaction."

 

   "어기, " 나는 말했다.

   "너 정말 그 몇몇 멍청한 애들 때문에 학교로 안 돌아갈 거야? 네가 학교 가는 거 즐기고 있다는 거 알아

   그들에게 널 지배하게 하지 마, 그들에게 만족감을 주지 마 "

"I've made up my mind."

   나 그만두기로 결정했어

"Auggie! Who else but you can pull this off?" 어기 네가 아니면 이걸 누가 할 수 있겠어?

저도 참 좋아하는 노래인데요. 이렇게 책에서 볼 줄 몰랐어요. 뮤직비디오에서도 주는 메시지가 참 좋아요.

 

 

Weird Kids

 

Some kids have actually come out and asked me why I hang out with "the freak" so much.
These are kids that don't even know him well. If they knew him, they would't call him that.

"Because he's a nice kid!" I always answer, "And don't call him that."

 

   몇몇 애들은 실제로 나에게 물어본다. "괴물"이랑 많이 어울리냐고

   그 애들은 그를 모른다. 그들이 그를 알았다면 그렇게 부를 수 없을 거야.

   "이유는 그는 좋은 아이야!" 나는 항상 대답한다. " 그리고 그를 그렇게 부르지 마"
