<읽기> wonder 원더 원서 Day 21

Four Things

 

First of all you do get used to his face.

The first couple of times l was like whoa I'm never going to get used to this.

And then after about a week I was like huh it's not so bad.

 

   첫째 그의 얼굴에 익숙해져야 한다.

처음 몇 번은 나도 와우 절대 익숙하지 않았다.

그러나 몇 주 후 흠 그렇데 나쁘지 않았다.

 

 

Second of all, he's actually a really cool dude. I mean he's pretty funny.

Like the teacher will say something and August will whisper something funny to me

that no one else hears and totally make me crack up.
He's also just overall a nice kid. Like he's easy to hang out with and talk to and stuff.

 

   둘째 그는 사실 진짜 멋진 녀석이다. 내 말은 그는 정말 재미있다.

   선생님이 무언가를 말하면 어거스트도 나에게 뭔가 재미있는 걸 속삭여서 나를 웃겨 만든다.

   그는 좋은 애다. 같이 놀면 대화가 쉽게 잘 된다.

Third of all he's really smart. I thought he'd be behind everyone because he hadn't gone to school before.
But in most things he's way ahead of me.

 

   셋째 그는 정말 영리하다. 나는 그가 학교를 다니지 않아서 다른 사람보다 뒤처질 거라고 생각했다.

   그러나 그는 대부분 나보다 훨씬 앞서있다.

 

Fourthly, now that I know him, I would say I actually do want to be friends with August.
At first I admit it I was only friendly to him because Mr. Tushman asked me to be especially nice and all that.
But now I would choose to hang out with him. He laughs at all my jokes. And I kind of feel like I can tell August anything.

 

   넷째 이제 그를 알게 되었으니, 정말로 그와 친구가 되고 싶다.

   처음에 친근하게 했던 것은 사실 Mr. 투쉬 맨의 부탁 때문이다.

   하지만 지금은 내가 선택해서 그와 어울리는 것이다.

   그는 내가 하는 모든 농담에 웃는다. 그리고 그는 내가 무슨 말이든 다 할 수 있는 기분이 들게 한다.

 

Like he's a good friend. Like if all the guys in the fifth grade were lined up against a wall

and I got to choose anyone I wanted to hang out with I would choose August.

 

   그는 정말 좋은 친구이다.

   5학년 남자애들 전체를 벽에 세워두고 내가 골라야 한다면 나는 그와 놀고 싶다. 나는 어거스트를 선택할 것이다.
